I wanted to like it but it's not what I needed.
I liked this planner for it's bi-weekly budgeting. It was easy to understand. I love the savings, debt trackers in the back. I love having the calendar added for each month. I also loved the break down of different incomes and the savings information in the front of the planner. What didn't like was tracker of expenses. I needed more lines and I sometime forget what expense was what. If I didn't carry the planner around, then it didn't get updated. I started to use a digital tracker for that. I also didn't have enough room for all my bills to record. I loved the way it was broken down with due dates, Amount and Paid. I wish their was an option to not have bullet notes. I never use them and its a waste of space for someone like me. Last year I used the budget book 2.0. I love the month set up that came with that. It helped me set up my budgeting plan alot better. I just would have liked it to have been bi-weekly. Or have a bi-weekly page like the calendar, ideas/notes or Financial goals.
Love but
I absolutely love this but I unfortunately have to pair it with the budget pro planner because the biweekly budget planner does not come in the PRO size option ... would be super great if it did and be able to add some of features from the standard budget planner (graphs, more bill lines, more expense lines etc)
Helpful Organizing
I love the planner because it deals with the foundational needs of planning for how I am paid. I love the planner because the instructions that come with the planner. What should be done first, second, and third - so on and so forth. I like the goals setting. I used all 10 areas. It made me realize that I needed to break down my end goal into separate goals. The secret budgeting is not the budget but the steps that you have to lay out to achieve the end goal. So far it is perfect for me. The monthly calendar surprised me. Now I can talk from a stand point of know when I get paid and how much. I can write out each month with pay dates and the dates that bills are due. I even included my raise so I know how much money I am making and I can state my true annual income when required. I intend to purchase a home so the information required in the planner is information that will be provided to the mortgage lender. I find the planner necessary and useful.
Just what I needed!
I’ve been waiting for a biweekly budget planner and this one “fits the bill” perfectly (sorry I had to)!
Repeat purchaser
I managed to budget for an entire year using this book and I’ve bought another for next year. I found it a bit clunky for a week or two, and needed to get the hang of flipping in between sections of the book to access all of the information but, once I did, it was really straight forward. I’m not sure I got the discount promised but it’s worth it even at full price.
